Yet To Come BTS Wins Seventh Win on MBC Music Core!

BTS has once again demonstrated its strong dominance on Korean music shows. Although BTS is now no longer actively promoting on Korean weekly music shows, on Sunday (26/06/2022) soompi reported that their song “Yet To Come” won the seventh win on the MBC Music Core program.

Music Core broadcasts live from the MBC Dream Center building in Goyang, Gyeonggi every Saturday at 3:30 pm (KST). This event was hosted by NCT’s Jungwoo and Stray Kids’ Lee Know. The two idols, who were both born in 1998, officially became MCs last August.

Like other weekly Korean music shows, Music Core features some of the new and most popular K-pop artists to promote, perform live on stage, and of course they will also reward the group or soloist who wins first place on the chart.

The Music Core chart is calculated from:

  • Digital sales : Number of downloads, streaming based on digital charts from various music platforms such as Vibe and FLO.
  • Live Vote: Votes from viewers during the show, either via text message or in the Mubeat app.
  • Physical album sales : The more albums sold, the bigger the chance to win 1st place
  • Pre-vote: Voting is held from Tuesday to Thursday before Music Core is broadcast live.
  • Music Video Views : Only counted from the official MV.

On the latest episode of Music Core, BTS’s “Yet To Come”, PSY’s “That That” (ft. Suga), as well as Lim Young Woong’s “If We Ever Meet Again” were candidates for first place.

BTS finally took home the victory with a score of 7,415 points. This was their seventh win for “Yet To Come.”
