TXT’s Soobin Reveals His Inner Conflict to Lee Young Ji: I’m Not Ready To Debut

TXT’s leader Soobin and South Korean rapper Lee Young Ji have shown their warm friendship. On Sunday (26/06/2022) Koreaboo reported that TXT’s Soobin recently met with Lee Young Ji to guest on the Chalingeon Jwippuldo Eobsjiman YouTube channel.

The two of them have cute chemistry that makes the atmosphere warm and fun. However, the topic of conversation became more serious when Soobin revealed his inner conflict to Lee Young Ji after he became a K-Pop idol. The rapper’s relaxed attitude makes Soobin comfortable talking about many things.

Soobin revealed that after he debuted, he often felt that his personality was not suitable for being a celebrity.

When Lee Young Ji asked why she felt that way, Soobin confessed that he had been constantly trying to match his personality with the image expected of a celebrity, but it felt too forced.

“After debuting, for several years, I thought that I was less shining than the other members and received less attention than the other members,” said Soobin.

Because of that, Soobin decided to blend in with others instead of trying to stand out. When Soobin was told that he would be debuting soon, he felt he wasn’t ready. He lacks confidence in his abilities.

“I wanted to practice more because I wasn’t ready to debut yet, but they appointed me as the leader [TXT]. I thought they were depressed at that time,” Soobin said.

Young Ji then immediately praised Soobin. “I’ve seen a lot of your videos, and I think you’ve led the group well,” he said. Soobin was touched by Young Ji’s compliment, and it almost brought her to tears.

The TXT leader then shared that despite all the doubts and doubts he had been feeling, the love from TXT fans gave him the confidence to continue to lead the group and achieve success together.

TXT just now comeback by releasing a new mini album. On May 22, Soompi announced that TXT’s newest mini album “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” has debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart. TXT is now the second K-pop artist in history to chart six different albums on the Billboard 200 chart after BTS. The six albums are:

  1. “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child”
  2. “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE”
  3. “The Dream Chapter: STAR”
  4. “minisode1: Blue Hour”
  5. “Still Dreaming”
  6. “Chaotic Wonderland”

Not only that, “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart. And Lee Young Ji was right. Soobin has indeed led TXT so very well that it can become as successful as it is now. Agree?
