If you want to buy food at a restaurant, it’s a good idea to find out in advance what the price of the menu is if you don’t want to experience an incident like one of the following buyers.
Through TikTok, a shopper shared a video containing his story when he bought food at an unreasonable price at a roadside tent stall reportedly located around the Jakarta Fair (PRJ) area.
The video was then re-uploaded to Instagram social media by the @underc0ver.id account on Monday (20/6/2022).
At the beginning of the video, he seems to remind other potential buyers to be even more careful when buying food in the area. The buyer wrote, “For those of you who go to PRJ, be careful eating here, okay?”
At the shop earlier, it was known that he ordered several food and drink menus, which included green clams in Padang sauce, fried dried pomfret, es teler, cold mineral water, and two servings of rice.
When it was time to pay, he admitted that he was surprised when he saw the total payment was so expensive, which was Rp. 250,000.
In the video, he also showed his order notes. There, a serving of green clams with Padang sauce is pegged at a price of Rp. 50,000. Meanwhile, for a portion of dried fried pomfret, the price is Rp. 140,000.
Meanwhile, es teler and cold mineral water are sold at a price of Rp. 30,000 and Rp. 10,000, respectively. Finally, for two servings of rice, the stall provides a price of Rp. 20,000.
Not finished with the previous surprise, the buyer’s regret seems to be increasing after hearing the story from a taxi driver on line who brought him home.
The driver said that the shop had often shot prices and that many had complained about prices that were not listed on the menu.
After being shared, the video post showing the story of a buyer while eating at this tent stall has now managed to get a lot likes and comments from Instagram users.
“Pomfret and shellfish are expensive because they are cared for like their own children,” said a netizen.
“Maybe the pomfret was taken from Dubai so it’s expensive,” said another.
“It sucks, after eating I feel hungry again, I want to eat the one that sells, then,” write another.
“This is the importance of looking at the menu first before ordering food,” added another.
