Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, who are children of Prince Andrew, recently wrote a touching farewell letter as a final tribute to their dear grandmother.
The article was uploaded on the personal Instagram of @princesseugenie on Saturday (17/9/2022). Along with his writing, he also uploaded a photo of him with his sister Princess Beatrice as a child with Queen Elizabeth II and a dog.
They were both very close to their grandmother and did not expect her to leave.
“Our dear grandmother, we can’t say much since you left us all. There were tears, laughter, silence and chatter, hugs and loneliness, and a great loss to you, our beloved Queen and our beloved grandmother. We, like many people, thought that you would be here forever. And we all miss you so much,” wrote Beatrice and Eugenie.
The two grandchildren of the Queen remember her grandmother as a loving guide and leader.
“You are our matriarch, our guide, our loving hand that leads us through this world. You taught us so many things and we will cherish those lessons and remember them forever.”
“Dear Grandma, for now we just want to say thank you. Thank you for making us laugh, for including us, for picking heather and raspberries, for marching as soldiers, for our tea, for comfort, for joy. You, being you, have no idea what impact you have had on our family and so many people around the world,” recalled Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
“The world mourns you and its respect will truly make you smile. They are all right, you are a wonderful leader.”
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are proud to be grandchildren of Queen Elizabeth II and happy to know the Queen is finally reunited with Prince Philip, who died last year.
“We’re so glad you’re back with grandpa. Goodbye grandma, it is an honor for us to be your granddaughter and we are so proud of you.”
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie also expressed their support for their uncle, now King Charles III. “We know that Charles’s beloved uncle, the King, will continue to lead in your example because he too has dedicated his life to serving“said the two ending the letter he wrote.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie also took part in the Queen’s grandson’s special vigil ceremony which was held on Saturday night (17/9/2022) at Westminster Hall. Princess Eugenie was also caught on camera shedding tears when she saw a collection of flowers and messages left by mourners in front of Balmoral Castle.
