Leeds flatly rejects Arsenal offer for Raphinha

Arsenal are in trouble to sign Leeds United’s versatile player, Raphinha. Leeds reportedly rejected Arsenal’s initial offer for his flagship player. The number proposed by the Gunners was considered too small so it was immediately rejected outright.

Reported Theathletic.comArsenal have released their initial offer to Leeds for Raphinha. The report did not specify the value of the Gunners’ bid. But Leeds reportedly reluctant to accept Arsenal’s proposal because it is considered not ideal in terms of nominal.

Arsenal are currently keen to strengthen their attack line. The presence of Raphinha who can operate as winger nor wingback considered suitable for the character of the Gunners. Coach Mikel Arteta is known to like fast play with the flow of the ball from the side of the field.

The same report claims Leeds are currently in a strong position to keep Raphinha. That’s because Raphinha was their best player last season. The Brazilian also helped them escape relegation.

Leeds are said to not be selling Raphinha unless there is an offer of £60m on their table. Arsenal will of course have to increase their offer if they are to sign the player. Reports circulating in the UK claim that Raphinha actually wants to move to Spain.

Raphinha has reportedly reached a personal agreement with Barcelona. However, Barcelona’s financial situation is currently in a bad state, so they have difficulty paying the dowry that Leeds is asking for the player.

If the effort to bring in Raphinha is stuck, it is believed that Arsenal will be more insistent on bringing Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City. European transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says the striker is now getting closer to joining Arsenal. Jesus is certain to leave Manchester City this summer. The arrival of Erling Haaland in the Citizens squad made Jesus’ position as City’s main striker displaced.
