ENHYPEN, BTS, and TXT Dominate Billboard’s World Albums Chart This Week

On Thursday (25/8/2022) soompi reports that Billboard has released its World Albums chart for the week. As is well known, over the years Billboard has become one of the media that frequently updates music charts, especially for albums. Because of that, Billboard has always been the benchmark for the success of releasing an album in the United States, and even the world.

For this week, several K-pop artists such as ENHYPEN, BTS, TXT, SEVENTEEN, ATEEZ, TWICE’s Nayeon, ITZY, AESPA, to Stray Kids managed to dominate the highest ranking on the Billboard World Albums chart.

ENHYPEN’s latest mini album, MANIFESTO: DAY 1, has successfully stayed for two consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard World Albums chart, and also became the group’s first album to spend three weeks in the Top 50 of the Billboard 200 chart.

BTS anthology album “Proof” stays at No. 2, marking the album’s 10th week on Billboard’s World Albums chart.

In addition, their 2017 mini album, “Love Yourself: Her” also re-entered Billboard’s World Albums chart this week, ranking No. 13.

SEVENTEEN’s album “SECTOR 17“ which is a version of repackage from their fourth studio album, “Face the Sun“ rose back up to No. 4 on Billboard’s World Albums chart this week, while “Face the Sun” also charted separately, taking the No. 9.

TXT’s mini album “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” rises to No. 5 on Billboard’s World Albums chart this week, and also extends its own record as the longest-charting K-pop album of 2022 on the Billboard 200.

Then ATEEZ’s mini album “THE WORLD EP.1: MOVEMENT” rose to No. 6 on Billboard’s World Albums chart for the week, while TWICE’s Nayeon’s debut album “IM NAYEON” soared to No. 7.

ITZY’s album “CHECKMATE” maintains its position at No. 8 on the chart, followed by aespa’s “Girls” album at No. 10. Finally, Stray Kids’ “ODDINARY” album re-enters Billboard’s World Albums chart at No. 15.
