Become Ambassador 2030 Busan World Expo, BTS Will Hold Global Concert

Global boy group BTS will hold a global concert as selected ambassadors for the 2030 Busan World Expo. Summarize from Koreabooon Friday (24/6/2022), the city government of Busan and HYBE Labels signed a memorandum of understanding related to today’s ‘2030 Busan World Expo’.

The mayor of Busan, Park Hyeong Jun, Bang Si Hyuk, and HYBE CEO Park Ji Won attended the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding.

Based on the memorandum of agreement, BTS will not only become Goodwill Ambassadors for the World Expo event, but will also attend the negotiations which will be attended by 170 other countries that are members of ‘The Bureau International des Expositions’ who will choose who will be the host for the event. It is planned that BTS will act as ambassadors when ‘Bureau International des Expositions’ visits South Korea, and it is likely that they will also travel to Paris, France, on election day to seek support from the committee to choose Busan as the host of the 2030 World Expo.

BTS will also release a number of online promotional photos and videos via social media. In addition, BTS will also hold a global concert from Busan to support the ‘2030 Busan World Expo’ campaign and attract the attention of the election committee members.

The official schedule for the concert has yet to be determined. Busan and HYBE Labels will also work together to develop pop culture and infrastructure in the city of Busan.

“We will work with BTS to make the ‘2030 Busan World Expo’ a nationally important project a success. We will also cooperate in developing local pop culture in Busansaid Bang Si Hyuk.

“I would like to thank everyone at HYBE as well as BTS for accepting the role of Goodwill Ambassador for the ‘2030 Busan World Expo’ despite the difficult conditions,” said Park Hyung Jun.

“Promotional activities with BTS will greatly help us to attract the attention of the world public to visit the ‘2030 Busan World Expo‘,” he continued.

Busan is one of several cities in the world such as Rome, Odessa, and Riyadh that will compete to host the upcoming 2030 World Expo.
