Even though the news is clearly fake and created to create a sensation, unfortunately some netizens believe this fake news. Under the comments section of the video mentioned above, there are people writing things like “They make the perfect pair,” and “I support them.”
Previously on August 16, this YouTuber also uploaded a video claiming that Shin Ji and Kim Jong Min are getting married. The video also attracted a lot of attention and gained 310,000 views in two days.
According to media reports, this YouTuber spread fake news in order to increase his coffers of money. This YouTube channel spreads an average of 3 to 4 fake news every day, gaining a total of 20,911,132 views and over 186,000 subscribers.
With the acquisition of that many views, the Social Blade site which analyzes the income of YouTubers estimates that this YouTuber’s monthly income reaches 190 million won (approximately Rp. 2.1 billion).
