Actor Ju Ji Hoon Considers Offer for Korean Drama ‘The Dominant Species’

Experienced actor Ju Ji Hoon has accepted an offer to lead a new drama. Launching from Pinkvilla Thursday (23/06/2022), on June 23, an official from his agency H& Entertainment told Newsen, “Ju Ji Hoon received an offer to appear in ‘The Dominant Species’ and is considering it.”

The upcoming drama “The Dominant Species” is a work depicting the story of a world where superior genes, viruses, and food are eaten as pills.

This drama is known as the new work of Lee Soo Yeon, who wrote the Disney+ dramas “Grid” and “Secret Forest”. Meanwhile the arrangements for the drama are currently being discussed. Fans will also be looking forward to whether actor Ju Ji Hoon, who has been working hard since the end of “Jirisan” will confirm his appearance in “The Dominant Species.”

A Short Journey of Ju Ji Hoon’s Acting Career

Ju Ji Hoon had various minor roles in television dramas, but in 2006 he starred in the romantic comedy drama “Princess Hours”. The drama was a hit domestically with a peak rating of 28.3%, and internationally throughout Asia, catapulting Ju Ji Hoon to stardom in the Korean Wave. He won the Best New Actor award at the MBC Drama Awards along with his co-star Yoon Eun Hye.

In March 2007, he starred in the KBS2 revenge-themed drama “The Devil” opposite Uhm Tae Woong and Shin Min Ah. In the same month, Ju Ji Hoon also received the New Asian Star award at the Astar 1 TV Drama Awards for his performances in “Princess Hours” and “The Devil”.

While his film debut was in “Antique” (2008) which was based on the betajuk manga “Antique Bakery”. The film was invited to the 59th Berlin International Film Festival. He then reunited with his “The Devil” co-star, Shin Min Ah in the romantic comedy themed drama “The Naked Kitchen”.

In 2019, the talented actor returned to the screen with two television series. Included in his greetings are the popular Netflix drama “Kingdom” and MBC’s fantasy legal-themed drama ‘Item’. In 2020, Ju Ji Hoon reprized his role in the second season of “Kingdom” and starred in the legal drama ‘Hyena’.
