Chaos rules most of our lives. Many burdens of life that make our lives more complicated, complicated, problematic, and troublesome. We become more overwhelmed with it, so we rush and mess things up.
In this article, I’m going to share some simple tips that aren’t new to most people, but that are reminders to lead to a calmer day.
1. Stop and breathe
Just take a few times during the day to take a break from the hustle and bustle and relax a bit. Take a deep breath and then exhale slowly. Pay attention to how you feel after doing that.
2. Do something that you really enjoy
As you eat, eat in breaks, take a deep breath in between, and enjoy each bite to the fullest. We can do this with any activity, not just while eating. Do it slowly, and enjoy the activity. Do the dishes, take a shower, brush your teeth, clean the room, or go to work. What is clear, fully enjoy.
3. Often be in a quiet place
Almost any time of day, we can find silence. Curled up on the couch with a book. Sitting on a park bench while taking a walk. Go outside and look up at the sky or at the trees. Instead of constantly moving, we can stop in silence and enjoy the silence.
4. Do self care
Little things like brushing your teeth can become a ritual to generate self-reward. Do treatments such as applying makeup, trimming nails, and watching TV for mental treatment. It really helps to make your day more calm.
5. Ask yourself what would make you happy today
Every day, you can start by asking what makes you happy. Can anyone make today a good day? Self care? Video call with your best friend? Make this a top priority for your day.
